Alba Group (“we,” “us,” “our”), a trucking carrier located in Markham, Illinois, operates AlbaIQ, a private dispatch and fleet operations platform used to manage loads, driver pay, and operational communications with our own contracted drivers and staff. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and how we protect it — including information related to SMS/text messaging.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to run our business and communicate with our drivers and staff: name, mobile phone number, email address, and load- and payment-related details. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are collected directly from each driver during onboarding, when the driver provides the number and agrees to receive operational text messages.
How We Use Information
- Send operational text messages and emails about assigned loads, rate confirmations, pickup/delivery details, and weekly pay settlements;
- Administer driver pay and maintain our business and compliance records;
- Provide dispatch and driver support.
SMS / Text Messaging
By providing your mobile number and opting in during onboarding, you consent to receive operational (non-marketing) SMS messages from Alba Group about your loads and pay. Opting in to text messages is optional. It is not a condition of being hired, contracted, or paid. Drivers who do not opt in (or who opt out) receive the same load and pay information by phone call, email, or paper.
How We Share Information — No Sharing of Mobile Opt-In Data
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in / consent information with any third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for any purpose. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
The only sharing that occurs is with the service providers that operate the platform on our behalf (for example, our SMS messaging provider), and only to the extent needed to deliver the communications described above. These providers are not permitted to use the information for their own purposes.
Data Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures — including encryption of sensitive data — to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Your Choices & Rights
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us using the details below.
